Gary started DownBeat in 2019 from his spare bedroom. He does everything — the website, the mixing, the social media (14 followers), the accounts (there are no accounts), and merch fulfilment (he posts the buckets himself). Gary's favourite band is Nickelback. This is not a coincidence.
Brent joined DownBeat in 2021 after Gary asked him "do you want to do a radio show" at a pub. Brent said yes. Brent has since missed 67% of his scheduled shows. His reasons include: traffic (he works from home), illness (suspected), and once "my cat looked at me funny and I couldn't focus".
Gary's mum does Sundays 3–5pm. She plays classic hits and reads listener requests. She has never received a real listener request and reads names from the phonebook instead. She is the most reliable member of staff and Gary knows it.
Nobody knows who Sleep Aid is. They submitted 45 hours of ambient audio via email in 2022 with the subject line "for you". Gary put it on at midnight. Listener complaints dropped 40%. Sleep Aid has never responded to follow-up emails. The slot remains.

We don't collect payment info, location data, or behavioural data. The website doesn't really track anything. Gary put Google Analytics on it once and got scared by the numbers.
We don't sell your data. Gary doesn't know how. Your info will never be shared with TruckersFM, Malibu Dave, or Brent's cousin who kept asking.
